Human hand found on Umkomaas Beach
Police attended the scene, and the limb was taken to the state mortuary in Park Rynie.
Police have confirmed that a human hand was found on the sea sand at Umkomaas Beach last Tuesday.
Umkomaas Saps members arrived at the scene and the hand was removed and sent to Park Rynie state mortuary.
Anyone with information that could assist police, should contact investigating officer Sergeant Kavilan Govender at Umkomaas Detectives on 039 9733103, or Detective Captain Kreeba Govender on 072 7770786.
Communications officer Captain Ranjith Rampersad also mentioned that there have been several recent reports of human remains found on beaches.
Community members are asked to be vigilant at all times.
