Locals hope the artist will eventually step forward to share the story behind the creation.
A striking driftwood sculpture erected on the rocks alongside the Ramsgate Ramble has sparked widespread curiosity and admiration among residents and holidaymakers.
The sculpture, believed to have been constructed during the recent holiday period, has withstood strong coastal winds and heavy rain, leaving many impressed not only by its creativity but also by its resilience. Despite the attention it has drawn, the identity of the artist remains unknown.
Local resident David Graham said the sculpture immediately caught his eye.

“This marvellous sculpture made of driftwood was erected during the holidays on the rocks alongside the Ramsgate Ramble. I’m not sure who built it or how it has survived the wind and rain, but I’d love to know more about it,” said Graham.
Passers-by have been stopping to photograph the artwork, with many sharing images on social media and questioning who the mystery creator might be.
Some have described it as a beautiful example of environmental art, using natural materials washed up along the coastline.
The sculpture has become an unexpected talking point, adding a sense of wonder and creativity to the popular seaside walkway.
