Beer run in Scottburgh raises much-needed funds

More than 500 people participated.

Scottburgh Lifesaving Club gives a big shoutout to all participants and sponsors of its annual Beer Run.

This popular event was held during the festive period to help raise much-needed funds. These funds are crucial in continuing to maintain the high standards of the club.

More than 500 people enjoyed the new route which started at Scottburgh Golf Club.

The Beer Run was about 4km and included five beers or ciders (three soft drinks for children), a free hamburger at the finish, and of course a whole lot of fun at the club, with DJs keeping everyone on the dancefloor for hours.

The club also thanks the dedicated committee members who worked hard through the day, the lifeguards who gave up their time to ensure everyone was safe, and to all other supporters who contributed to ensure this fundraiser was a success.

The club cannot wait for the next one at the end of the year.
