Artists display at Margate Art Museum
The annual exhibition continues to play an important role in promoting local art and fostering community involvement.
The Margate Art Museum will host its annual Open Art Exhibition on Friday, March 27 at 17:30.
A special meet-the-artist session is scheduled for 18:30, offering attendees a chance to engage directly with the creatives behind the works.
Organised by the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality, the event is open to the public free of charge.
The exhibition will feature around 25 artists, showcasing a diverse collection of works across multiple mediums, including painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media and illustration. Both established and emerging artists will be represented.
Featured artists include the legendary Marianna Radley, the master Celeste van der Merwe who also owns an art studio at Uvongo, both from Art by the Sea. and emerging young selling artist Emihle Sikobi.
