New name for South Coast church
The name "3C" stands for the defining pillars for the next 20 years bringing in character, community and courage.
For 20 years, the building at the heart of Ramsgate has been known as Rhema South Coast. It’s been a place of weddings, Sunday mornings, and steady support for the South Coast. Last Sunday, worshippers arrived to see something new- a fresh identity for a familiar face.
In a move that Pastors Larry and Mandy Elliott say has been months in the making, the church has officially stepped into its next chapter as 3C South Coast.
The rebranding isn’t just about a new logo on the wall. According to the leadership, the name “3C” stands for the defining pillars for the next 20 years: Character, Community, and Courage.
“We have loved every minute of serving this coastline for the last two decades,” the pastors shared with a sense of gratitude. “But as we look at the next 20 years, we want a name that speaks to who we are becoming. It’s about preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, while living out those values of character and courage right here in our own backyard.”
The timing of the change couldn’t be more symbolic, landing just days before the Easter weekend. For those who have lived on the South Coast for years but never stepped inside, or for holidaymakers looking for a spiritual home this weekend, the “new” 3C South Coast is throwing its doors wide open.
“We want people to come and experience what we’re all about,” they added.
Where to find them this Easter? Easter Sunday from 08:00 and 10:00 at the church. In a beautiful show of local unity, 3C will join fellow South Coast churches for the Sunrise Service at St. Michael’s beach this Sunday (5th) at 05:30.
Whether you knew them as Rhema, or are meeting them as 3C for the first time, the message from Pastors Larry and Mandy remains the same: “Much love and Jesus.”
