BRONWYN TANNER – Tuning In: Get ready for charity golfing fundraisers

School holidays are over. I would imagine there is relief in some households – and not so much in others!

There is a charity golf day in support of Anthony Visser at Umdoni Golf Club on Sunday, April 12, from 11:30. Format: Betterball Stableford. Entry fee: R300 per person; carts: R370 (R185 per person sharing). This event promises to be an enjoyable day of golf, with a great opportunity to network and contribute to a worthy cause. Your participation will assist in easing the financial blow for Anthony while he recovers. If you are unable to participate, please assist with a small donation or prizes. Children’s art classes are being held at TC Robertson Nature Reserve on April 25, from 09:00 to 11:00 (also for adults who are children at heart). For further information, contact 073 1002528.

Also at TC Robertson Nature Reserve is the Mongoose Tea Garden which offers a beautiful midweek escape into nature every Wednesday, from 09:00 to 12:00. The cost is R60 per person which includes tea/coffee and homemade treats. Booking is essential for groups of eight or more. Contact 082 6227699.

Tidy Towns Pennington is holding a fundraising golf day at Umdoni Park on May 17, from 11:00. Betterball Stableford 4BBS. For further information, contact 082 8879644.

Khanya Hospice is holding a golf day at Umdoni Park Golf Course in the format of Fourball Betterball Stableford on July 5, from 11:00. Entry is R2000 per team including supper. For further information, contact 083 2625594.
