Man found dead with gunshot wound in Umtentweni

Police are investigating a shooting incident which occurred in Umtentweni in the early hours of April 17.

According to Saps Ugu Communications District office, members of Saps Port Shepstone responded to the scene at about 06:00 in Michwood Road, Umtentweni, where they found the body of a man, aged 48, who had succumbed to a fatal gunshot wound.

“Preliminary observations may indicate an absence of foul play. Police are investigating an inquest, and a cause of death will be determined via a post-mortem examination. The man has not been identified as yet,” said police.
