Hibiscus Choir seeks more musicians and singers
The choir has plans to revive its offerings.
More than 40 years ago, a small group of enthusiastic singers formed a choir and delighted audiences between Port Shepstone and Port Edward at various venues.
Revenue was ploughed back into the communities for the fostering of musical appreciation in young people.
Some years ago the choir changed its name to Hibiscus Choir.

Unfortunately, the Covid years took their toll, and numbers are currently down to about 10 voices.
The choir is now more of a singing group but would love to re-establish itself as a choir again, making beautiful music and bringing pleasure to others.
The choir currently meets at the Margate Retirement Village bowling club on a Tuesday afternoon.
Members would love to see many more like-minded singers join the group so that it can be a vibrant source of pleasure to folk on the South Coast.
