SUV destroyed in parking area fire in Port Shepstone

Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on the rooftop parking of the Port Shepstone Mall on May 16 at about 14:27.

Ray Nkonyeni Municipality spokesperson Simon April confirmed that firefighters arrived to find an SUV fully engulfed in flames.

“They immediately dampened down and smothered the burning debris, but unfortunately the vehicle was razed,” he said.

No injuries or damage to surrounding property were reported.
