Weekly beach gathering brings community together in Hibberdene

Are you looking for good company and positive vibes?

A simple idea aimed at bringing people together is growing into a popular weekly tradition in Hibberdene.

Started by resident Tersia Burger, the free gathering takes place under the trees at Hibberdene main beach every Thursday at 10:00.

Residents and visitors are invited to bring their own snacks and refreshments and enjoy a few hours of friendship, conversation and fun.

The get-togethers have attracted a growing number of regulars, including people from neighbouring communities, with recent activities such as beach dancing adding to the festive atmosphere.

The focus is on building positive community spirit and creating opportunities for people to get to know one another.

“There are no politics, no complaints and no agendas – just positive vibes and good company. The gatherings are helping strengthen community ties and showcase the best of what Hibberdene has to offer,” said Karin Gough, a Hibberdene resident.

Everyone is welcome, whether attending alone, with friends or as a family.
