Women’s empowerment event in Umkomaas aims to boost confidence

The theme, Red for a Reason, symbolises strength, confidence, courage and bold femininity.

The Red for a Reason women’s empowerment fundraising event will be hosted by Solidariteit Helpende Hand KZN South Region at The Venue Fontana in Umkomaas on August 1.

The theme, Red for a Reason, symbolises strength, confidence, courage and bold femininity. The highlight of the event will be a makeup class by Willem Botha who is a South African creative professional, best known as a makeup artist, photographer and entertainment personality.

The session will not only focus on makeup techniques, but also on confidence, presentation and self-worth.

Red for a Reason forms part of a year-long women empowerment initiative. Throughout the year, smaller empowerment projects will take place, such as skills workshops, mentorship initiatives, support drives and confidence, and wellness sessions. These projects will build momentum towards the main event, creating ongoing impact rather than a one-day experience.

On event day, gates open at 12:30, and the dress code is elegant with a touch of red.
