Port Shepstone Business Forum (PSBF) has been busy of late, having attended various events.
A post-budget business breakfast hosted by KZN MEC for Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Rev Musa Zondi, at the FNB Conference Centre in Umhlanga on July 21, provided a platform for engagement between government and the business community.

The focus was on provincial economic priorities, investment opportunities, and collaborative initiatives to stimulate economic growth and job creation.

On the same day, PSBF CEO Vijay Naidoo and COO Zama Ngcobo attended a strategic engagement with Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator at the Coastlands Umhlanga Hotel to explore collaborative opportunities between the forum and South African youth.

The Harambee delegation was led by project manager, Shiksha Benimadho.
Discussions focused on establishing partnerships that will connect unemployed youth in the Ray Nkonyeni Municipality (RNM) with employment opportunities, workplace readiness programmes, and skills development initiatives through the SA Youth Network.
Furthermore, PSBF officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ugu Association of Business (UAOB).

The partnership was led by Naidoo, and UAOB chairperson, Dr Thanduxolo Ncane, marking an important milestone in strengthening collaboration and promoting economic development across the Ugu District.

“We believe these initiatives reflect the forum’s ongoing commitment to building strategic partnerships, advocating for the interests of the local business community, supporting entrepreneurship, and creating sustainable economic and employment opportunities throughout the district,” said Naidoo.
