The annual fête of the NG Gemeente Port Shepstone brought people together with mouth-watering food, games, music and much more for the whole family to enjoy.

It was all about good vibes at the Suidkus Smulfees held at Hoërskool Suid-Natal. The event has, over the years, become one of the highlights on the South Coast.

Large numbers of visitors from across the South Coast flocked to the event and enjoyed mouth-watering traditional dishes, from pancakes to vetkoek. Shoppers were also spoilt for choice with second-hand clothing and other bargains.

Visitors also enjoyed top-notch entertainment, including a choir performance by the Suid-Natal Primêre Skool, which added to the festive atmosphere.

Besides the many festive activities, the Suidkus Smulfees also provided a platform for people from the broader South Coast faith community to associate and appreciate each other.

“It is heartwarming to see so many people from different language, cultural and religious backgrounds sharing in the joy at this special occasion,” said NG Gemeente Port Shepstone spokesperson, Tok Grobler.

“We were privileged, in cooperation with the Suid-Natal Primêre Skool, to entertain several needy families. The atmosphere was truly festive, and the church is thankful for the expression of so much warmth, love, and appreciation at the Smulfees, ” said Tok.
