Step back in time on Mzamba fossil walk.

A unique opportunity to explore the geological history of the KZN South Coast will be on offer this month when the Umtamvuna Marine Conservancy hosts a Mzamba Fossil Walk fundraiser.

The walk will take place on Saturday, September 12, with local conservationist Debbie King leading participants on an exploration of the Mzamba fossil beds and surrounding coastline.

Meet at the Wild Coast Sun Waterworld parking area at 10:30, ahead of the walk starting at 11:00.

The event aims to combine conservation awareness with an opportunity for participants to learn more about the region’s remarkable natural and geological heritage.

Walkers are advised to bring a hat, water and suitable walking shoes.

The cost is R50 per person, with spaces to be secured in advance through Berendine on 079-136-0593.

The fundraiser is being organised by the Umtamvuna Marine Conservancy, with funds contributing towards its conservation initiatives.
