Four men killed in Hibberdene taxi rank shooting

A silver/grey Volkswagen Polo was reportedly seen leaving the scene, while the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.

Four men were killed in a shooting at the Hibberdene Taxi Rank this afternoon, Friday, September 18.

Lazer 911 security response teams were dispatched to the scene at about 15:30 following reports of multiple gunshots.

According to Lazer 911, its response team arrived at the taxi rank and found four men dead.

Lazer 911 said preliminary information from the scene indicated that the shooting may be linked to a drug-related dispute.

A silver/grey Volkswagen Polo was reportedly seen leaving the scene in the direction of the freeway and is suspected to have been involved.

Members of the public are urged to remain vigilant and avoid the area where possible.

The exact circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear and are subject to investigation by police.
