St Martin’s holds deaf awareness walk

The walk was held to create deaf awareness and make the community aware that deaf people lives do matter.

St Martin de Porres School held a silent walk headed by the Safer South African Foundation (SSAF) in Port Shepstone last Saturday.

The purpose of the walk was to create deaf awareness and make the community realise that deaf people’s lives do matter.

Learners held up placards to highlight deaf awareness hoping that the community of Port Shepstone learn sign language and help the deaf integrate into the community.
