Info evening arms Creston’s matrics with essential tools

Guest speaker was Professor Anthony Turton, a political scientist with over 25 years of strategic-level experience

Creston College’s Grade 12s are in the final stages of their school career, and it is essential that support measures are in place at home and at school for them to achieve their goals. Learners, parents, and educators all work as a team in making 2023 a success, and the programme presented last Wednesday, provided essential tools and ideas to achieve this.

The Executive Head, Noel Coetzee, addressed the learners and parents, with an encouraging talk. In his welcome to the guest speaker, Professor Anthony Turton, Coetzee said they were blessed to have Professor Turton as an inspirational guest speaker to address the Grade 12 parents and learners at the info evening.
Professor Turton is a political scientist with over 25 years of strategic-level experience, who specialises in transboundary water resource management. He is widely published and is a well-known professional speaker, trainer and facilitator. Creston thanks the professor for his knowledge and time spent at this special event.

In addition, the head of academics of the college phase, Shabhana Bhagwandeen spent some time elaborating on the mid-year examinations, school-based assessments, IEB pass requirements, forthcoming events, as well as a guide to the matric results and extra lessons.
