The day continued with the crowd in high spirits, enjoying the display of tough competition, sportsmanship and dedication from the players.

Port Shepstone High school and Hoërskool Suid-Natal met on the fields of Sheppie High for a day of nail-biting sporting action last Saturday.

Netball, hockey and rugby matches were played and the atmosphere was festive, warm and inclusive. The Suidies learners walked to the entrance of Sheppie High early in the morning and were greeted with great fervour, war cries, and cheering.

The day continued with the crowd in high spirits, enjoying the display of tough competition, sportsmanship and dedication from the players. Face painting, hair-spraying and a selection of refreshment stations ensured that everyone was kept in jovial spirits.

While the two schools competed enthusiastically, they remained respectful and the camraderie shared between them was impressive. The festivities began last Friday, where the first team hockey hoys’ battled against one another and the Sheppie boys emerged victorious with a win of 3-0.
