Soccer fun at Sheppie High

The game ended in a penalty shoot-out resulting in ‘Gwababa’ declared the winners.

Before Port Shepstone High learners began the busy testing time, a soccer game was held among the matrics. The two teams, ‘Gwababa’ and ‘City Boys’, went head-to-head in an intense battle of penalties, outstanding saves and risky tackles, watched by the entire school and staff.

During the match, learners off-field cheered their hearts out. The spirit and camaraderie that Sheppie High is known for made this a memorable event for all. The game ended in a penalty shoot-out resulting in ‘Gwababa’ declared the winners.

Congratulations to Grade 12 learner, Amaarah Ebrahim for achieving a gold certificate in the recent English Olympiad competition. This is an annual nationwide examination open to all secondary schools and aims to enrich and to deepen the appreciation of the English language and its literature.

Ziphezinhle Ndlovu achieved a silver certificate and Aphelele Mbuthuma and Aphiwe Linda both achieved bronze certificates.

Grade 12s started their trial examinations last week and the school wishes them well for the remainder of the exams.
