PS Senior Primary on cue for pool programme
Learners will be trained by professional players and will be participating in school leagues and tournaments.
It’s full steam ahead at Port Shepstone Senior Primary (PSSP) as learners and staff were welcomed to the ‘final lap’ of the 2023 academic year.
The extra-mural programme kicked off last Wednesday with learners being offered a variety of afternoon activities.
Individual parent-teacher meetings were held last Tuesday. Thanks to those parents who availed themselves for these important academic feedback sessions.
An initiative by local businessman and former parent of PSSP, Ivan Naidoo has led to the school being introduced to ‘Pool-Cue Sport’ as an addition to the extra-mural activity.
The programme was recently launched by Pool4Change, an NPO at St Martin de Porres School where PSSP together with five other local schools were officially welcomed.
The school received a new pool table and accessories valued at R20 000, courtesy of the National Department of Sport, Arts and Culture in partnership with the South African Confederation of Cue Sport and the Department of Education.
Learners will be trained by professional players, and will be participating in school leagues and tournaments. The school thanks Pool4Change KZN South Coast coordinator Ivan Naidoo.
Learners and staff are wished all of the best for the final term.
