Special needs centre’s Ongeziwe enjoys learning

"Special needs means I can communicate, I love life, I have talents. I just learn differently."

Ongeziwe Nguza of the Yellow Class at Megan du Plessis Special Needs Centre is a happy young man.
He does not speak sentences, but individual words – but he can still communicate with you.

He enjoys every joke and has a contagious laughter. Learning rhymes, singing songs and dancing hip-hop are done with precision and following a whole sequence. Absolutely amazing!

Enjoying books, new words, colouring in and kitchen fun. He feels deeply, and with a kind, caring heart he protects those who are sad, got hurt or have been treated unjustly.

A message to all the people out there: “Special needs means I can communicate, I love life, I have talents. I just learn differently.”
