Port Shepstone Islamic School hosted the matriculants of 2023 at the matric awards evening at the school hall last Friday.
The event, attended by parents and the faculty, resonated with mixed emotions as speeches echoed gratitude and memories. Learners celebrated their achievements and shared aspirations for the future. Umair Akram Sardar was the school Dux awardee. Fatima Duma and Abdul Baasied Ahmed took the respective sports awards.
Parents were back at school on two evenings last week to attend the orientation sessions for the various phases. These informative sessions highlighted expectations from each of the roleplayers in order to achieve success.
Discussions centred around academic success, discipline, moral ethical behaviour and attitude.
The school trusts that both learners and parents found the sessions informative and empowering to tackle the year ahead.
