Creston applauds honours recipients

Well done to all top achievers.

During the recent honours and awards ceremony at Creston College, the high school recognised learners who earned their honours accolades.

They are Theshlin Chetty (academics), Troy Christophers (academics), Mithav Lachman (academics), Aarav Maharaj (academics), Kayla Niemandt (academics), Michael Potgieter (music and choir), Kirsty Jackson (choir) and Storm Cawood (dancing).

In the senior primary, the Grade 7 leaders were announced. They are Abby Allchin, Aiden Caine, Zaiah Dennis, Thomas Gutzeit, Alexa Mendes Da Silva, Luyanda Ngidi, Clarissa Niemandt (deputy head girl), Demitria Pillay (head girl), Olivia Pukana, Khushi Sewpersadh, Joel Snyman (head boy), Sazi Swana (deputy head boy), Emma Thompson and Brodey Watson.

The junior primary announced their inter-house gala captains as Shaylee Faddy, Matthew Keudel-Schaffer, Rocco Verster and Zara Peerzada.

Gemma Allchin shattered records from 2017, including one record set by alumni Samantha Labuschagne, claiming victory in the girls’ open 50m butterfly and breaststroke events at the SKZN champs gala held last week.
Creston swimmers showcased their talent at the SKZN schools swimming trials and several of them, including Melissa Bense, Gemma Allchin and Emma Thompson received their SKZN Ugu colours.
