Hockey and rugby tour a highlight for Izotsha

Take note: The school is having a Colour Run fundraiser this Saturday.

Izotsha Primary has experienced a busy sporting week with a number of festivals and Lower South Coast and UGU team practices, together with a most exciting overnight tour to Kokstad Primary for the senior girls’ hockey and senior boys’ rugby teams.

The festivals hosted by Creston College were fun-filled and enjoyed by all.

The U11 girls’ hockey team played hard, unfortunately, they lost all their games. They can be commended on their good sportsmanship.

The U13 girls’ hockey team won two games and lost one.

The U13 girls’ netball team played four matches, won one and lost three. They played with determination and displayed good sportsmanship.

The trip to Kokstad for the hockey and rugby teams was an absolute highlight. It enabled them to play against teams which they had never played before.

The rugby boys played against Penzance from Durban, Kokstad Junior and Kokstad Primary.

The hockey girls played against Kokstad Junior, Kokstad Primary and St. Patrick’s College.

The school is gearing up for the Colour Run fundraiser this Saturday, April 27. Registration is at 08:00 (R50 per entry), and the race begins at 09:00. The course is 2.6km (it’s not pram-friendly).

It is recommended that all competitors wear white clothing. There will be a tuck shop, buffs for sale (R50), boerewors rolls, a super giant slide, a spooky house and a rocket.
