Jai Hind experiences mock election

They had an opportunity to vote for the new term's fundraiser.

Learners at Jai Hind Primary had the exciting opportunity to participate in a mock election last Monday.

From voting cards to having their names on a voter’s roll to placing a cross on a ballot paper and having their thumbs marked, the learners experienced the full voting process.

The foundation phase learners voted for their favourite treat, and the intermediate and senior phases voted for a term three fundraiser. The favourite treat with the most votes was ice cream, and the term three fundraiser voted for was the fun walk.

Learners received an ‘I Voted Today’ sticker to remember their election experience. Learners also completed written activities to consolidate the events of the day.
