Work hard, play hard at CS Learning

Both boys enjoy working with playdough.

Kneading, rolling, punching and pinching their playdough – this is how Tyrone Smulders (19) and Phiwokuhle Ngcobo (15) work out their fine motor muscles at CS Learning Centre.

Both boys enjoy working with playdough and making as much noise as they can while doing it.

Tyrone and Phiwokuhle are among the oldest students at the school and certainly appear to preside over the playground and classroom.

Tyrone prefers to spend his time in the hammock or on the swing, watching the activity around him, and his presence is always noted when he takes a stroll around the playground.

He has a wicked sense of humour and is always up for a prank or joke on someone.

Phiwokuhle enjoys pushing all things to the limit, swinging high or jumping on the trampoline with great enthusiasm, riding the bikes as fast as he can downhill or throwing sticks, rocks or balls as far as possible.

He lives with energy and gusto and loves to leave a ‘sound trail’ behind him by playing drums on the table, talking loudly, laughing delightedly and singing gleefully.

These two ‘old men’ of the school bring the sound of laughter and joy to everyone’s day.
