Marburg Primary held a successful fundraising drive that culminated in a fun walk recently.
Learners, accompanied by their teachers, enjoyed their walk through Marburg. The focus of the walk was to educate children on the indigenous plants and to protect and keep the environment clean.
Vasie Kistasamy, the co-ordinator, was pleased with the support from parents. This event not only achieved its fundraising goals but also strengthened the community-school relationship.

Weekly draws took place, and learners were rewarded with gift packs sponsored by teachers and SGB members.
As incentives, trophies and special prizes were awarded to learners who collected the three highest amounts in each phase. Additionally, for the first time, learners from classes that submitted every completed card received goodie bags.
Grade 1B was the triumphant class, raising the highest amount.
