Izotsha’s cricketers excel

Best batsman was Owen Anthony who scored 26 runs off of 17 deliveries.

Despite the inclement weather, cricket matches went ahead for Izotsha Primary against Suid-Natal.

The U11A team batted first, scoring 52 all out. Suid-Natal were all out for 48 runs. Izotsha won by 4 runs.

Best bowler was Saien Chetty, who took 4 wickets off of 4 deliveries. Best batsman was Tyr Johnson, who scored 23 runs off of 14 deliveries. The U11B team only had 10 players and lost their match.

The U13A team batted second, scoring 113 for 6 over Suid-Natal’s 109 for 4, winning by 4 wickets.

Best bowler went to Zyev Mahadev, who took 2 wickets off of 8 deliveries. Best batsman was Eli Langton, who scored 25 runs off of 24 balls. The U13B team batted first, scoring 109 for the loss of 6 wickets.

Suid-Natal were all out for 53. Izotsha won by 56 runs. Best bowler went to Lara Brewitt, who took 3 wickets off of 6 deliveries. Best batsman was Owen Anthony, who scored 26 runs off of 17 deliveries.

The Intermediate and Senior Phase boys and girls are enjoying tag rugby as their new sports code for the term. This is evident in the high learner turnout at practices.

There was a free civvies day last Friday to thank learners for their tremendous support of the ‘Diaper Drive’.

The academic programme is an intense one this term, ensuring curriculum completion as well as revision for the upcoming final formal assessments for the year.
