Former Woodgrange learner gives back

The school is very close to Marcus Govender's heart as he schooled there from Grade 1 to 7.

Marcus Govender, the CEO of Conmar Horticulture, recently visited Woodgrange On Sea Primary School in Hibberdene.

He and his wife donated soccer and netball kits to the learners. He also gave a motivational speech to teachers and learners.

Marcus Govender is an ex-pupil of Woodgrange On Sea Primary School.

This school is very close to Govender’s heart as he schooled there from Grade 1 (1987) to Grade 7 (1993).

Nelson Mandela once said: “Sport has the power to change the world; it has the power to inspire. It has the power to unite people in a way that little else does.”

In relation to this, Govender said: “This is why we always choose to make a difference by donating sports kits and equipment instead of money.”

Learners were pleased with their new soccer kits.
