Learners at RA Engar Primary School participated in the annual Ray Nkonyeni Municipality SEWEP enviro competition.
Tiarini Governder was placed second in the spelling bee category, winning the school R4 000 and a trophy.
Lethokuhle Mphofana was placed third in the speech category, winning the school R3 000 and a trophy.
The school won a further R2 000 for greening projects throughout the year in the waste hierarchy category.
The school also received two certificates for consistent participation.
