Port Shepstone High is thrilled to announce that the 2024 matric class achieved an impressive overall pass rate of 97.9%.
This is a testament to the learners’ and teachers’ hard work and dedication. The school recognises the significant role played by teachers in guiding and supporting learners throughout their high school journey.
Individual performances were exceptional, with many learners achieving distinctions. Notably, Erin Heydricks and Amahle Makhaye excelled, each securing an impressive seven distinctions.
Rhoda Du Toit, Abigail Milne, Namhla Mndiyata, and Yeyethu Ngxolashe obtained six distinctions, and Sara Weber five distinctions.
Divan Du Toit, Aphiwe Gojana, Joel Kandankary, Andisiwe Khowa, Esethu Maci, Iviwe Mbekeni, Gaitlin Moors, Amahle Mpungose, Nomfundo Mvuna, Armani Ndwalane, Irmani Ndwalane and Owami Nzama received four distinctions each.
“We are incredibly proud of the class of 2024,” said principal Kerry McKillen.
“Their dedication, hard work and resilience are truly inspiring. This achievement reflects the commitment of our entire school community – learners, educators, parents and support staff – to strive for academic excellence.”
