Sporty times at Izotsha Primary

The Grade 1, 2 and 3 cricket boys participated in a Mini Cricket Tournament at Creston College.

All classes took part in World Read Aloud Day at Izotsha Primary.

Acting principal Brenton DeVries enjoyed reading with the Grade 3 learners.

The intermediate and senior phase long-distance gala took place last Tuesday. The swimmers all tried their best, with some records being broken.

The school is proud of Emma Rowbotham, who participated in the Community Series Mountain Bike Short Course race last Saturday. She earned first position in the Sprogs category (10-12 year olds).

Junior cricket was played against Margate. The U11A team lost the match by 30 runs. They displayed good bowling and fielding skills, excellent spirit and good sportsmanship.

The Grade 1, 2 and 3 cricket boys participated in a Mini Cricket Tournament at Creston College last Saturday. All three teams played incredibly well, displaying great skill and sportsmanship on the field. The Grade 1 and 2 teams won both of their games, while the Grade 3 team secured one win and lost one match.

The school is grateful to Rajinee Ramdhum from Torga Optical for the free eye screening service given to learners and staff.

The school is gearing up for the high school fair on Thursday, February 27, in the school sports hall from 17:00 to 19:00.

This is a public event for all Grade 6 and 7 learners and their parents. Learners are to be accompanied by their parents and are to wear their full school uniform.
