Cool win for Ronnie and Sizwe at Port Shepstone Country Club

The club was abuzz with activity last weekend.

Two big golf days took place at Port Shepstone Country Club last weekend, drawing golfers to the club from near and far.

First up was the Wozani Berg Gasoline annual golf day last Friday, which was a massive success from start to finish.

The format was a full scramble, and winners were Chris du Plessis, Neil Thomas, Derrick Ross and Allan Clark on nett 55.5.

Runners-up were Alan Hall, Matt Hudson, Lee Maree and Matt Cowley on nett 56.5.

In third place were Leon le Roux, Rudi Coetzee, Alec Cole and Byron Henning on nett 56.63.

The Wheatcrofts, Connor and dad Brett, take second place in the Restoration Trophy, congratulated by Stephen Herbst (Comfort Cool).

Fourth spot went to Bruce Schefferman, Willie Zandberg, Rocco Ungerer and Mornay Ungerer on nett 57.

Rounding out the top five were Alec Jackson, Allan Rowley, Ronald Tarbarton and Mark Gavin on nett 57.5.

Saturday saw the Restoration Cup take place, sponsored by Comfort Cool, and played as a betterball scramble, with a full field of 120 players.

Winners were Ronnie Mtshaka and Sizwe Mjoli on nett 59.25.

Runners-up were Brett Wheatcroft and Connor Wheatcroft on nett 60.

Third place went to Monde Nondabula and Loyiso Manyana on nett 60.5.

In fourth spot were Rudi Coetzee and Goose Goosen on nett 61.

Johann Neetling and Jaco van der Wal took fifth place on nett 61.75, counting out Rudi and Ilse Steyn.
