Police and care centre visit Hlanganani
They spoke to learners about drugs, respect and crime.
Hlanganani Preparatory is grateful to Constable Sakhile Nzama of Saps and Thuthuzela Care Centre for attending an assembly to speak to learners about drugs, respect and crime.
Learners were informed about the types, effects and effects on lifestyle of drugs and about ‘stranger danger’.
Thuthuzela explained to learners that the aim is to reduce the secondary victimisation of rape victims and improve the conviction rate.
Their integrated approach to rape care is one of respect, comfort, restoring dignity and ensuring justice for children, women and men who are victims of sexual violence.
When reporting, the rape victim is removed from crowds and intimidating environments to a victim-friendly environment. The survivor receives comfort and crisis counselling from a trained counsellor. The learners must report any form of rape to them, and they will get help.
Last Friday was Crazy Sunglasses Day.
The cricket team attended a KFC Mini Cricket Festival at Suid-Natal last Friday and won most of their matches. Thanks to Suid-Natal High and Ben Malamba of Cricket Development for hosting an amazing festival.
