Creston College's interact club embarks on outreach programme

Learners visited the El Roi Baby Home.

Creston College learners from the Eaglecrest Interact Club recently visited the El Roi Baby Home for a community outreach.

The volunteers were warmly welcomed and began by helping fold baby clothes while the children rested. Once everyone had arrived, the children were woken for playtime, and the learners enjoyed spending time with them on the jungle gym, playing with toys and sharing many happy moments.

After lunch, the fun continued, making it difficult for the volunteers to say goodbye. The club thanks the El Roi staff for their hospitality and for the valuable role they play in the community.

Siphesihle Mbili is happy to be part of the outreach programme.

Several learners also took part in the Ugu hockey trials. Congratulations to Matthew Keudel-Schaffer, Anele Dzingwa, Kwakhanya Mohoto, Sthelo Zulu, Angel Jonga, Naledi Selikane, Ulwando Khuzwayo, Chumasande Bangani, Lingcwele Dandala, Alunamda Makongwana, Kiaan Reddy, Zaiah Dennis, Declan Middleton, Alex Muzenda, Reece Greco and Langa Cele who were all selected.

Non-travelling reserves for the team are Jordy Moses, Megan Pretorius and Alexa Mendes da Silva. Creston College also placed third at the Junior Primary interschool gala, where NJ Smit was the Grade 3 boys age group winner.
