Izotsha Primary selects new prefects

Academic and sports achievers were also announced.

The school corridors at Izotsha Primary were once again abuzz with excited learners and teachers, happy to see one another after the Easter break. The first week was a busy one, settling into term two ‘business’.

The Grade 7 learners had a surprise meeting on April 10, called for by Yvonne Theunissen, to announce the prefects for 2026.

They are Malaika Mbhele, Casey Bense, Zuhaira Motala (deputy head girl), Leila Grobbler (head girl), Mason Aub (head boy), Sithenkosi Mbebe (deputy head boy), Kyra Bate, Emma Rowbotham, Jessica Jansen van Vuuren, Camryn Bennett, Minjalo Nkubungu, Knoxx Boylan, Mila Durrheim, Eli Struwig, Anam Ntshagala, Sibulele Kalimashe, Kaitlyn Curtis and Hlelolenkosi Qwabe, Kaylee du Plessis, Erin Massey, Bella-Rose Zwane, Sinqobangalo Mncwango, Skyla Nadauld and Syra Sharma.

Assembly on April 13 heralded the announcements of academic achievers from term 1 as well as a number of learners who achieved in the sporting arena.

The school is proud of the following boys who have been selected for their respective SKZN rugby teams: U12: Jesse Langton, Ryan Douglas and Ben Francis, U13: Lubanzi Mnikathi, Reece Moynihan and Sabelo Sithole. They will be attending the KZN trials this week.

The winter sports programme has begun in earnest. Learners are wished well with all of their commitments.
