Izotsha Primary learners display excellent sportsmanship

Teams fared well in hockey, netball and rugby.

Izotsha Primary School experienced yet another busy week with curriculum coverage, sports fixtures and a Winter Tournament hosted by Suid-Natal last Saturday.

During the week, boys and girls hockey and rugby were played against Port Edward. The results were as follows: U11 hockey boys won 4-0, U11 hockey girls lost 2-3, U13 hockey boys won 1-0, U13A hockey girls won 2-0, U11 rugby boys drew 7-7, the U13 rugby boys drew 5-5, U11A netball lost 2-17 and the U11B team lost 0-18.

Sports teams fared well at the Suid-Natal Winter Sports Tournament. The following codes, both Senior and Junior A and B teams, where applicable, participated: hockey, netball and rugby.

All teams displayed good team work and spirit, good sportsmanship, good behaviour and gave of their best. The school is grateful to the parents, learners and teachers who attended this well-organised event.
