For Izotsha Primary – netball, boys and girls’ hockey and rugby were the sports codes played against Margate Primary during the school week. Teams all fared well, displaying good behaviour, good manners and good sportsmanship.
Southcity hosted the Inaugural Southcity Quadrangular Rugby Tournament.
Izotsha’s U13 boys played with tremendous passion and determination, displaying real character, despite having four players away at the KZN rugby trials in Pietermaritzburg. They produced a superb performance in the third and final pool round of the tournament, claiming victory over Southcity with a score of 46-0.
The school is proud of four learners who represented the SKZN rugby team at the KZN trials last weekend. They are Reece Moynihan (U13), Sabelo Sithole (U13), Lubanzi Mnikathi (U13) and Ben Francis (U12).
Try scorers were Declan van As (3), Eli Struwig (3), Jesse Langton and Ryan Douglas. Tyr Johnson added three successful conversions. Eli Struwig was voted Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
