‘Contact the IEC for by-election result disputes’

I am not sure that I know what Mjeqezi is getting at in this needless accumulation of words.

DEAR Editor,-

I refer to the letter in the Herald last week headed ‘Non-antagonistic contradictions created’ submitted by Mjeqezi. He states that “The Snashall’s (sic) turgid ego is buttressed by political trajectory that is diabolical to the Blacks in general and indigents in particular!”

I am not sure that I know what he is getting at in this needless accumulation of words with a very high fog index. In the recent by-election in ward 12, which was the subject of my letter to the Herald, I pointed out that the DA won by 1131 votes to the ANC’s 657. The Minority Front, an appendage of the ANC, disappeared altogether; and the IFP was reduced to a pitiful total of 23 votes in all.

If Mjeqezi has a problem with the voters in ward 12, he should address them. If he disputes the results of the by-election, he is advised to take the matter up with the IEC office in Port Shepstone.

DAVE SNASHALL
