‘Confusion confounded or confounded confusion?’

Zoologists will be down in droves to view the crocodiles that 'look down' on their habitat.

DEAR Editor,-

Having just taken up residence in Uvongo and wanting to become familiar with local affairs, the South Coast Herald was an obvious starting point in sussing out the general tone and attitude by reading the compliments and complaints in ‘Letters to the Editor’.

I was mentally exercised by a letter from Mjeqezi (March 28, Non-antagonistic contradictions created). No matter how many times I read this letter, even upside down, I failed dismally to make heads or tails out of the jumbled gobbledygook of verbal acrobatics. I do, however, give the writer five-star credit for obfuscation.

The purported ‘turgid ego of Cllr Snashall …’ sounds serious enough for professional help, whilst the ‘trajectory’ of the writer’s hyperbole is, well, on its way to outer space to join the vacuum it so richly deserves.

Zoologists will be down in droves to view the crocodiles that ‘look down’ on their habitat. Tourism Department – take note, this will place us on the international map.

Should the “National Democratic Revolutionaries” (?) ‘relentlessly’ educate the masses, may I suggest that English 101 is included in the curriculum?

Thank you Mjeqezi, your letter was most entertaining and as useful as a chocolate teapot. Shingishane
