‘Sentence poses more questions’

Was all the work done by the investigation team for nothing?

DEAR Editor,-

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the heading ‘Accused walk free’ in your publication. This was in reference to the accused in the much publicised case dealing with the death of Wandile Mkhize.

After reading the complete article, I was left with more questions than answers.

From the article it is not clear as to who the presiding judge was and no information was given as to how the judge arrived at his decision since it looks like this was a politically motivated killing. Will we ever find out the truth? Will we ever see justice in this case?

Has the hard work of this investigation team gone to waste? If any accused found in possession of an unlicensed firearm is handed a suspended sentence, God knows what’s next.
