DEAR Editor,-
Capitalism was the highest point of development from feudalism, lords and serf way of life. From the dead you abstract the living, thus socialism will be born out from the womb of capitalism.
To grasp all the complexities of the modern world and to organise and direct the revolutionary social and historical creative activities of the working class, such a grandiose task theorises Marxism-Leninism and the practice of the struggle for the progress of mankind. This ties and unifies the Marxist-Leninist science with the practical activities of the SACP and the people from the fundamental principle of genuine revolutionaries. This principle strikingly manifests the scientific nature, partnership and creativeness of Marxist -Leninist theory, Mr Thembalamashinga Shinga.
The principle of the unity of theory and practice requires, on one hand, the theory be based on the advanced practical experience and distinguish in it progressive new elements and orientate the masses towards them. On the other hand, it requires the practice be based on theory, taking into account the latest and prospective trends of development opened up by modern science, ie dialectics – the investigation of the truth of opposing opinions by logical discussion.
The process of question and answer from one person asking a series of probing questions on the topic, stimulates the other person to reflect more deeply on the topic and understand it more fully – dialectical materialism. Mr Shinga, principles are not sufficient course, but necessary course. Principle alone achieves nothing, however conditions plus principles determines the strategy. In all material times, leaders become conflicted between principles and tactics. Nozizwe Madlala-Routledge fits the bill of being a populist demagogue, full stop.
EFF co-founders, Julius Malema, a talented orator, shrewd political player and respected critic, had a bright future in ANC circles until his weakness caught up with him. Floyd Shivambu, a clever spin doctor and talented writer, also had a wonderful future in the ANC. The future of these young men was cut short by their weaknesses, which are similar in nature – disrespectful of elders, impatience with opposing views, and lust for crass materialism.
They should blame these weaknesses for their downfall, which happened at the same time because of their inability to think independently from one another and, therefore, their political party cannot be a vanguard for working class by pronunciation or wearing aprons and red overalls.
They are copycats of the ANC and SACP’s rich history of struggle. Vanguard – a leading group in new developments or ideas. EFF was formed out of ill-discipline as they demonstrate churlish behavior in parliament, by not following its dictum. Unlike a court of law, epistemology helps us unmask thieves within municipalities. We use literary passages, humour, irony, satire, comparisons and aphorisms to express our viewpoints more vividly and graphically.
In the absence of a winning lotto ticket, a million rand salaried income, medium-sized business and huge family inheritance certificates, there are legitimate ways to live an opulent lifestyle. They are corrupt officials buttressed by some individuals within our broad liberation movement to loot the coffers for their individual interests.
No, no, Mr Shinga, we abide by the aims and objectives of the SACP. We don’t parade with price tags, wishing to be noticed by the highest bidders. We participate in the life of the organisation as loyal, active and disciplined communists.
