Thank you South Coast Herald for publishing the picture and information on the Parthenium weed recently. There has been a very positive response from many people, as well as a letter to the Herald requesting more of this initiative.
The South Coast Conservancies’ Forum has donated a copy of the excellent WESSA publication ‘Invasive Alien Plants in KZN’ to the Herald, with the request that whenever space allows they steadily publish all the main invader plants that are most likely to be found in gardens in our area.
We suggest that you cut them out and keep them for reference purposes or if anyone would like their own copy of the book, contact the WESSA chairman, Paddy Norman at 039 6952827. You will be surprised just how much satisfaction you will get from becoming a ‘weed buster’.
