OPINION: ‘No sign of take-off just yet’

Trying to contact Margate Airport to inquire about flights is a total waste of time – no one knows what you are talking about.

There were huge announcements made proclaiming that not one but two airlines would resume service between Margate and Johannesburg in July.

July has but a few days left and there is no sign of one, let alone two airlines, ready to ‘take off’.

Trying to contact Margate Airport to inquire about flights is a total waste of time – no one knows what you are talking about.

There are rumours that airlines SA Airlink and CemAir are waiting in the wings, (pardon the pun) but that the airport itself is not ready.

If there is anyone in the know – please can they advise in which July the passenger service will be in operation.

FRUSTRATED

Ramsgate.
