On October 10, teacher Gugu Cele from eMalusi High School was killed in what seems to be an ambush (six bullets).
This happened in the early hours of the morning while she was proceeding to do her daily duties and serve the community – five minutes away from where she teaches.

A case of murder was opened at Mehlomnyama Police Station and a supposed investigation was undertaken, but the family was unsatisfied with the police work.
To date the desired results have not been achieved and detectives involved are not doing what is expected of them.
The Minister of Police, Bheki Cele, was approached to assist and perhaps intervene, but he was too busy.
I ask myself what community are we hoping to build and achieve when we cannot even trust our very own justice system who are responsible for the prevention and detection of crime and the maintenance of public order.
The family sadly continues their daily lives, broken and shattered, with no answers for this hate crime.
