OPINION: ‘What’s up with the bridge?’

Just the other day, I heard that a pedestrian was knocked down there.

DEAR Editor:

It seems as though construction on the bridge opposite the hospital on the R102 in Scottburgh is slowing down once again.

For the past few weeks, there has been no work done there… at all.

I hope that the work will be completed by the end of the year so that those going to and from the hospital can finally start using the bridge.

Just the other day, I heard that a pedestrian was knocked down there.

Makes you wonder… if the bridge had been completed, would this have happened?

Aside from the construction standstill, can I just vent and say how frustrating the ripples are near the bridge?

I understand that they are there to slow cars down, but they are horrific to drive over. Rattles both my car parts and my bones!
