DEAR Editor,-
With assistance from South Coast Herald journalist Sugan Naidoo, I recently reported the illegal dumping that takes place at Friesland Drive, Marburg, extension 17.

I thought that adding photos to the article would show the seriousness of dumping, what effect this has on the environment and the health hazard to surrounding communities.
Unfortunately the dumping continues and the people responsible are those who live close by.
I am appealing to residents – please do not dump there as it is private property.
This has been reported to the ward councillor many times over the years and more recently, unfortunately as expected, no action has been taken.
I would like to thank Sugan for his assistance in bringing this to the public’s notice.
This is a serious concern.
