OPINION: ‘Worker’s diagnosis is spot on’

He was admitted into ICU with a major heart attack.

DEAR Editor,-

With reference to last week’s letter entitled ‘Misdiagnosis in totally unacceptable’, recently a good friend of mine from Tweni was at home one morning when their domestic worker phoned his wife at work and told her that her husband was having a heart attack.

The wife rushed her husband to their doctor who examined him and declared that ‘all the fuss was due to a reaction from medication he was taking.’

He was bundled into the car and taken to a hospital in Margate for a second opinion and the physician said that the man should have been brought in three hours earlier.

He was admitted into ICU with a major heart attack.

How is that for a good employee?
