DEAR Editor:
The ANC government must fully take the blame for the mismanagement and complete failure of many ANC administered municipalities.
The simple reason is because they are placed in the hands of irresponsible and incompetent comrades – most of them understand very little or nothing about local government.

Just because the comrades were activists during apartheid days, the ANC thinks that they are suitable for local government.
Today it is has become clear what failures they are, but even when the ANC removes someone from office, another comrade is appointed who is just as incompetent.
This is the mistake the ANC is making every time – not appointing men and women on merit, irrespective of the colour of their skin.
If only appointments were made on merit, we would see racism taking a back seat, and the country moving in a different direction and booming.
The ANC is responsible for our country being bogged down instead of going forward.
Come on ANC, open your eyes and put on your thinking caps.
For almost 26 years, you wasted a lot of time and money on nonsense, instead of getting the country moving.
Stop employing, deploying and appointing officials along racial lines who don’t make the grade.
We have had enough of the ANC and its comrades who think that they know everything.
They have become a laughing stock. We need change and it must be now.
