DEAR Editor:
4 Paws and a Tale held a Valentine’s dinner and dance at the amazing Fish Eagle Café at Crocworld on February 15.
After doubting that all 140 tickets would be sold, “Valentino” (much like Cupid) stepped in, spun his magic and all were sold.
The venue was beautifully decorated in red, white and black and as usual, Chef Morne van Zyl outdid himself with the most amazing buffet.

Live music was provided by Andrew Davies who sang his heart out and got people dancing until the feet could go no further.
A beautiful painting was donated by Lorraine Goss-Ross for which we say a GREAT thank you – this was auctioned during the evening.
People opened their hearts to the four-footed ones and a bidding war erupted with the exuberant Jacqueline Smith standing in as auctioneer, causing much laughter and pushing the auction to an amazing conclusion.
The painting was bought by Keegan Sansom and Simone Irwin, the husband and wife team from R&M Construction, one of 4 Paws and a Tale Rescue’s greatest supporters.
We are so grateful for the wonderful support we received from the communities and all our volunteers.
To my husband Johnny who twisted the arms of so many people to buy a ticket – love you so much!
We work tirelessly daily to make the lives of the dogs and cats a little better and with this kind of support we can and will do this.
